Our outpatient therapy clinic, located on the ground floor of Park Plaza Independent Living Facility, offers expert, personalized, ONE on ONE physical, occupational, and speech therapy services to both residents of Park Plaza and to community members at large. We specialize in geriatric and adult care, and successfully treat a broad range of diagnosis while providing personalized, hands-on treatment.
Our physical therapists treat conditions such as:
- Arthritis and spinal stenosis
- Difficulties with balance and gait
- Generalized weakness
- Vertigo
- Post-orthopedic surgery for example post knee and hip replacement and arthroscopy rehab.
- Neurological disorders, including Parkinson’s disease and Multiple Sclerosis
We can also recommend the optimal assistive device, for example a cane or walker, that will best meet the patient’s needs.
Our occupational therapists specialize in restoring arm, wrist, and hand movement, strength, and function. Education on adaptations, compensatory techniques, and environmental modifications help patients achieve a greater level of independence in their daily activities.
Our speech therapists work with swallowing concerns to improve the quality and safety of a person’s swallow, and cognitive concerns by addressing and providing strategies to improve word finding ability, short-term memory, long-term memory, and organizational thinking.
